GENERAL INFORMATION
The Institute of Real Estate Studies is dedicated
to providing comprehensive courses which are
required to obtain a Real Estate Salesperson License, Professional Development, Appraiser
Certification and Continuing Education courses
to improve the skills of those currently engaged
in the real estate profession.

Appropriate Course Materials
Completion Requirements:
For Pre-license or Broker courses: 80% attendance and passing grade
For Continuing Education: 90% attendance
Pre-license courses include Real Estate Fundamentals and Real Estate Practice, each being a 30-hour, 2-credit course.
An Exam Prep
course is also offered monthly. This intense review course, recommended for both salesperson and broker candidates, includes sample
exam questions intended to improve one's proficiency in answering typical Real Estate License Exam questions.
Professional development courses include a
variety of 15-hour, one-credit courses and 30-hour,
2-credit courses
which may be used toward fulfilling the educational requirements to obtain a Real
Estate Broker License, State Certification for Appraisers,
or
the elective portion of Continuing Education.
Continuing Education courses include
7-hour courses in a variety of subjects and all approved Broker
or Appraisal courses, many of which are 15 hours.
Time Share and Campground Membership courses are scheduled as demand requires.
COURSE MATERIALS
Textbooks and workbooks for each course
are distributed at the first session. Students
should have a pen or pencil and notebook.
Pre-license students may use a basic four-function calculator, but students taking the
Finance or Investment courses will need a financial calculator.
